Yes, my car is dirty. It's been raining all week and the company I work for is in a rural part of Texas on a square mile of land covered in dirt roads. It's a fun time, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't make for a clean MR2.
I feel it needs just a tad more low in the front, but otherwise I'm very pleased with the results. In other news, I got a rock chip in my windshield on the drive home yesterday, so I need to get that repaired asap.

Very Nice! I love MR2's.
And I hate rock chips, I got one yesterday as well but it wasn't too bad.

"Oh I think my car is dirty from a bit of rain" You don't know a dirty car until you cant differentiate the white stripes on your black mustang because it's so covered in salt even though you just washed it yesterday. I'm sorry, this winter is really long and i'm in a salty mood. Your rims look awesome.

We're spoiled in Texas, we don't get salt like anyone up north does. It's much dirtier in direct sunlight, but this shot managed to conceal most of it.
It's dirty from pretending I'm Colin McRae while driving around the property :)

Yeah, I got off pretty easily with mine as well. Should be an easy repair.

That looks great! Are the wheels+tires similar to the stock wheels in diameter?

Yes, they're almost identical to the stock diameter.

That's good, otherwise you would get a monster truck like look, which is never good.

Yeah, that's generally what I think when I see MR2s with 18" wheels. 17 is pretty much the biggest you can run up front without needing a lift. Raked setups are pretty common though, with 17 in front and 18 in the back.
It also means that my speedometer is accurate.

I think I mistaken you with someone else that a dark green Mr2 and got rear ended badly months ago...

My buddy's SW20 is on TRD springs and Koni shocks. I think it's the perfect compromise on a daily driven car. Ride height is lower but still very much functional.

I like the car, is it a turbo?

Indeed! Man I seriously love that dark green color on MR2s, if I had my pick from factory that would be it. Alas, I custom ordered my MR2 from Craigslist :)
That sucks though. I seriously would not want to be rear ended in an MR2, the thought of the engine going through my cabin scares me.

I too have heard good things about TRD springs. I'm thinking about coilovers, but I'd need to do some weird shit to make them fit with those wheels (Max negative camber on the plate, dial it back in through alignment) so I'm thinking I'll upgrade my shocks and springs instead. In general, my car could use some suspension work, so either way something is coming in the future.

It's the same as hitting something in front of you in front engine powered car. You don't have to worry.

Coming from riding motorcycles, I don't worry. Every time I read of another fatality for a MR2 driver (especially the SW20), it definitely stays on my mind. They're well made cars, but for their size and age I wouldn't stand a chance against a lot of what I encounter in Texas.
I guess what I'm saying is with enough of the right (wrong) conditions for a wreck, it's plausible for me to die behind the wheel of my car.

These are the only ones I have on the work computer, and it's too dirty to take photos of right now (also the boss would have
stern
words).
Pretty much factory except for the exhaust, boost controller and bov. Currently waiting on a redundancy payout to finance some new wheels and suspension upgrades. Juuust about to hit it's 100kkm service though too.
